Hi again! It has been some time, and I've been busy with not a YouTube channel. This post goes out to Dylan Conner. I apologize due to my lack of YouTube, I've been busy being sick. Anyways, I would like to shout out Debian Linux. Cool OS. Dylan Gooner.

Welcome back to my blog! I was a little busy this past month, so I apologize for the lack of posts for all 0 of my readers. But today's blog will be one of news, mainly being I'm about to launch my YouTube channel two weeks from now. I'll also probably write up a blog post when my first video comes out, but my YouTube channel will follow the same formula as I want this blog to: doing whatever I want. But in terms of games I will likely play on my YouTube channel, you can expect all or at least the majority of these:
  1. Forza Horizon 4: A favorite racing game of mine. Videos on that game will either be with friends or talking in a manner similar to this blog but with audio.
  2. Halo: The Master Chief Collection: Same concept as Forza, basically, but with guns. Maybe I'll also do a let's play of the campaigns.
  3. Minecraft: Just your classic 2010-2014 Minecraft Let's Play in 2024/2025. I always loved watching those, so why not try making my own?
  4. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim & Fallout 4: All games I bought recently and I'll likely do full let's plays of. If I have fun doing them maybe I'll go back and do Fallout 3 & New Vegas as well. But first I'd like to do the games I haven't beaten (so just not New Vegas lol)
Of course I'll do other games, but I expect them to be less frequent than those games. Ideas for those are a video or two on Overwatch or Marvel Rivals. But anyways, I just want to briefly mention why I'm waiting two weeks to launch my channel. My reasoning is simple: that's my winter break from school, so I'll just have some free time.

Anyways, that really wasn't the most news, but in terms of other stuff to yap into the void about, music! I recently listened to the Tame Impala album The Slow Rush from 2020. Earlier in the year I got really into the album immediately preceding it, Currents. I also listened to the album preceding that, Lonerism. While I like Lonerism, Currents always stood out to me as the stronger album. The Slow Rush has, fortunately, joined Currents in my opinion of it. While I don't think any song is as good as "Let It Happen" from Currents, The Slow Rush is an awesome collection of songs.  When I first listened to the album, I gave it a 9/10, mainly down to the sequencing being off and it not flowing well. Then I listened again the next day, and I adored it. Highly recommend the album if you have a chance.

But that's about it for today's blog post! Not too long, I know, but big things are coming, that I promise you!

Welcome to my blog! I hope you somewhat enjoy reading it. I plan to launch this and a YouTube channel by the end of the year. YouTube and this blog will both be about whatever I want. That is, whatever I feel like yapping about, I will type. YouTube I expect to edit down a little more, but this is truly unfiltered yapping into the void. This will also help a certain friend of mine avoid being messaged about my interests he could not care less about. So why not introduce those, with some favorite media?

My favorite band of all time (as seen by the embedded video below) is King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. I absolutely adore the band's ability to experiment with all sorts of music theory nonsense that I quite frankly do not understand. Maybe someday I'll bother to learn? I don't know though. Crumbling Castle, my favorite song by the band, is simply incredible. I love the 10-minute epic of a song that it is. The final build into the reprise of the first verse into the outro is easily my favorite part.
I'm also a little bit of a fan of both film and video games. I say a little bit, because while I absolutely love what I play of them, I really haven't watched a lot of the greatest films of all time, or played some of the greatest games of all time. But from what I have watched and played, my favorite film and game of all time are Kill Bill: Volume 1, and Portal 2. Kill Bill is my favorite film of all time simply because it is just a fun movie. I love watching Uma Thurman hunt down those who wronged her, and I especially want to highlight the climactic fight scenes in the House of Blue Leaves. The 1v88 sword fight is a top 3 action scene of all time in my opinion. Portal 2, my favorite game, I adore because it's just straight-up perfect. I love the puzzles, and the humor always gets me in that one. But in terms of film, I also have a Letterboxd account. The username is DrinkUrPotatoes, which unfortunately Dreamwidth will not let me link. So if for some reason, I became the sole authority on the quality of film, there is the place to look. To conclude my intro to myself, my favorite TV show is Better Call Saul, which is a fairly common pick, although I'm not the biggest TV watcher. I love the lawyer drama, I guess. Finally, my favorite novel of all time is Orwell's Animal Farm. The concept of communism being applied to farm animals, and watching the slow corruption into totalitarianism is such an interesting thing to write a book on, and George Orwell pulled it off (Almost as if he's critically acclaimed for a reason).

That's a brief introduction on me, I guess. I hope someone at least enjoys reading this to the level I enjoy writing this, although it's a very bold dream for anybody to read this at all. But that's about it for now. Have a good day, afternoon, or evening!
